Setting up your email account on a BlackBerry

Adding an email account with manual setup

With manual setup, you can add a POP3, IMAP, or Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account.

We recommend using IMAP.

Add a IMAP email account

When you set up an IMAP account, you will need to enter some server and configuration settings.

1. In the BlackBerry Hub+ Inbox, tap
2. Next to Accounts, tap
3. Tap Add a BlackBerry Hub+ account.
4. Type your email address.
5. Tap Manual setup.
6. Tap your email account type:
   • POP3
   • IMAP (We recommend IMAP, as it allows your emails to be viewed from multiple devices)
7. On the Incoming server settings screen, enter the following info:
   • In the Password field, enter the email account password.
   • In the IMAP Server field, enter imap.stackmail.com
   • In the Port field, enter 993
   • In the Security type drop-down list, select SSL/TLS
8. Tap Next
9. On the Outgoing server settings screen, enter the following info:
   • In the SMTP server field, enter smtp.stackmail.com
   • In the Port field, enter 465
   • In the Security type drop-down list, select SSL/TLS
   • In the Password field, enter the email account password.
10. Tap Next
11. On the Account settings screen, review or change any of the settings.
12. Tap Next
13. Optionally, change the display name or display color for your email account.
14. Tap Done
